Tawfiq brings 22 years of professional experience in finance and executive leadership and previously served as Chief Financial Officer of a Saudi-listed company. His career spans diverse sectors, including external audit, banking, industry, education, consulting and insurance, giving him an integrated perspective across finance, operations and governance.
He currently serves on several audit committees and previously worked in academia, where he taught accounting and finance. This combination has strengthened his ability to simplify complex financial matters and translate them into practical, actionable insights.
His experience covers financial strategy, capital and liquidity management, investments, financial planning and analysis, performance management, governance, finance transformation, and decision support for boards, executive committees and audit committees.
Tawfiq holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from Bangor University in the United Kingdom and a BSc in Accounting from Umm Al-Qura University. His executive education includes the Emerging CFO Program at Wharton Executive Education, The Next CEO Program at the University of Bath School of Management, and an executive program at Oxford Brookes University.
He founded CFO MAP based on the belief that the true value of financial leadership is not found in producing more reports, but in turning numbers into clarity, clarity into decisions, and decisions into measurable results. Through CFO MAP, he leads advisory engagements that move from financial diagnosis and prioritisation to roadmap development, execution and performance follow-up.
